To Remember The Alamo or Tyranny?
That's the question we propose to San Antonio's City Council and Dawn Buckingham.
The Alamo was a significant event in the history of Texas and the United States. It was a pivotal battle during the Texas Revolution against Mexico from February 23 to March 6, 1836.
The Alamo was a mission fortress in San Antonio, Texas, occupied by a small group of Texan rebels, including Davy Crockett and Jim Bowie. The Texan rebels were vastly outnumbered by Mexican General Santa Anna's army, seeking to retake the territory of Texas.
Despite the overwhelming odds, the Texan defenders, under the leadership of William Barret Travis, held off the Mexican army for 13 days. However, on March 6, 1836, Santa Anna's forces breached the Alamo's walls and stormed the fortress. The battle was fierce and brutal, with hand-to-hand combat throughout the mission. All Texan defenders were killed, including Travis, Crockett, and Bowie.
The Battle of the Alamo became a rallying cry for the Texas Revolution, inspiring other Texans to take up arms against the Mexican army. Six weeks later, under General Sam Houston's command, the Texans defeated Santa Anna's army at the Battle of San Jacinto, securing Texas's independence from Mexico.
Fast Forward to 2023, the political party claiming to be for limited government, for the people, and against corruption; Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham has decided to collude with San Antonio's city council to steal land and lowball a fellow Texan out of his property.
Which is interesting because during her election, she said this:
I’m not sure about the rest of you, but I’m sick and tired of politicians lying during their campaigns about their goals to defend our liberty only to be like any other tyrant.
Lysander Spooner illustrated precisely what is going on as if he were alive in San Antonio today:
"Honestly? I think both of you are tyrants." states Carter Ray, SD26 Rep to the Libertarian Party of Texas, who confronted two city councilmembers who voted to use eminent domain to steal Moses Rose's bar:
Enough is ENOUGH. Let’s go rally behind our fellow Texan and help defend his rights! I will be speaking at the event, and I’ll be bringing the heat on March 11. Make sure you subscribe for more updates.
